Students- portable speakers, and playing music out loud from devices is not allowed on school grounds at any time. Thanks.
The “Tale as Old as Time” father-daughter dance is scheduled for Saturday, September 9th. Buy your tickets in the front office before the last petal falls from the rose…also known as Friday, September 1st.
Attention all Desert Sky Students and staff. On Monday, August 21, the solar eclipse will start about 9:16 am, reach its peak at 10:35 and finish at 12:03 pm. It is absolutely essential that you do not look up at the sun during the eclipse. Staring up at the sun even briefly during the eclipse can burn the retina of your eye and cause permanent damage to your vision, or even blindness. Any student who is interested in making a pinhole viewer for the eclipse is welcome to check with Ms. Goldwasser in room 316 after school, or speak to your science teacher.
Desert Sky Students! Do you need a cool, quiet place to do your homework after school? Well then, come to the Cougar Homework Club with Mrs. Beard in room 413 on Mondays and Thursdays from 3 – 4pm. Snack is even provided.
Desert Sky students! There is still time to join Gift making Club. We meet Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3-4pm in room 413. You can come one or both days. Join the fun!
Attention Desert Sky students and staff…Student Council will be selling sweatshirts for the month of August. See Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Couzens or Mrs. Williard for information.
All NJHS members—we will meet this Friday after school in Mrs. Vera’s room 517 to vote for officers. See you then.
Hey Cougars do you want to earn a $5 gift card, well all you have to do is answer a question about CNC and see Mrs. Francis at lunch today with your answer. Today’s question is: What happens when you look at an eclipse with your naked eye?
See Mrs. Francis at lunch today with your answer, and the drawing will be held tomorrow morning.
