Chach Jackson, Parent/Community Representative

My name is Chach (Michelle) Jackson and I am happy to be a part of the Desert Sky Family.  My husband Tim and I came to Tucson in 2001, while both of us were serving in the Air Force.  We immediately moved into the Rita Ranch area to be a part of the Vail School District.  We both have since retired and Tim continues to work for the Air Force as a civilian.  I started a home based business while I was active duty and after retiring in 2008, I focused on growing my business. I now lead an award winning team of direct sales consultants.  Tim and I have 3 children: Andre who grew up in Vail Schools is now a junior at the University of Utah, Maya is sophomore at Cienega HS and Isaiah is a 7th grader at Desert Sky  I am honored to be your voice and represent all DSMS parents as a member of your site council.  Go Cougars!

Sam Mendivil, Parent/Community Representative

Hello.  My name is Sam Mendivil.  I am a 20 year veteran High School History teacher in the neighboring Sunnyside School District.  Being in the education field, I respect good parent involvement in schools and believe that it is such a benefit to students’ success.  I am very happy to get to serve on DSMS Site Base Council once again.  My family has lived in the Desert Sky community for 15 years.  During that time, I have served on the SBC at Cottonwood Elementary for four years and then on the DSMS SBC for two years.  That was while my oldest child, Stephanie, was in Vail School District.  When she went on to attend and graduate from Cienega, I returned to Cottonwood where my son Isaiah was attending and again served on their SBC for six more years.  Isaiah is now in 7th grade and as I stated, I am so pleased to be actively involved and helping any way that I can.  I am also serving as an assistant basketball coach here at DSMS with Coach Rodriguez.
