Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, I am one of the few natives of southern Arizona. I graduated, Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Prior to attending the University of Arizona, I attended Pima Community college where I received an Associate of Arts degree, with Honors; an Associate of General Studies, with Honors; and a Liberal Arts Certification. Throughout my time in college, I maintained a 4.0 GPA, was a member of and President of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor’s Society at the University of Arizona, as well as Phi Theta Kapa Honor Society though Pima Community College. I am married and together we have three beautiful children, whom are also in the Vail Unified School District, and keep us very busy with their academics and extra curricular activities such as softball and baseball.

Tucson has been my home for the last 20 years. I was born in Taiwan, came to New Mexico in 1991 where I became a US citizen. My two children were born here in Tucson and grew up in the Vail School District. I feel fortunate that they have had the opportunity to learn from many good teachers and have done well at school. Becoming a paraprofessional here at Desert Sky was the best choice I made; and I have been doing this job for the last 5 years. I enjoy the working environment, school culture, and the people I get to work with–both teachers and students.
Serving on the site council is a whole new experience for me. I appreciate this opportunity and wish to be a positive contributor to our school’s site council board.
